ciblr respects your privacy. This policy explains which personal information we process, why, for how long, and the rights you have, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA, federal) and Law 25 (Quebec, Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information).

When you request a report through our website, we collect: your first name, your last name, your work email address, the search criteria you build, the date of the request, your consent, and a technical fingerprint of your IP address (hashed, never stored in clear text) for security and anti-abuse purposes.
When you take out a subscription, the payment is processed by Stripe; we neither see nor store your card number. We keep your email address, your company name and the status of your subscription in order to open and manage your access.
Company data. Our database is built exclusively from official Canadian public sources (Corporations Canada, Registraire des entreprises du Québec) and from information published by the companies themselves (website, contact page). It concerns companies and information made public by law, in particular the identity of directors recorded on the registry. We fabricate no data and collect no sensitive personal information.
Your contact data is processed to send you the requested report and, where applicable, to contact you again about our services. The legal basis is your consent, collected explicitly at the time of the request, or the performance of the subscription contract. The processing of company data from public registries relies on legitimate interest and on its public nature.
Report requests (your contact details and criteria) are kept for 24 months, then deleted automatically. You can ask for their deletion at any time. Account data is kept for the duration of the subscription and the statutory accounting retention periods.
Your data is neither sold nor transferred to third parties for commercial purposes. We rely on technical providers to host the service, deliver emails and collect payments (namely Render for hosting, Resend for email delivery and Stripe for payment), who act as service providers. Some providers may process data outside Canada; where that is the case, appropriate safeguards govern these transfers, in accordance with PIPEDA and Law 25.
The website uses only cookies strictly necessary for its operation (the session when you are logged in, and your language preference). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection, as well as the right to data portability and the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise it, write to us at [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent authority: the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.
Every email we send contains a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also write to us at [email protected] to stop being contacted.
